Where are you located?

The Region Event Center is located at 858 Monterey St, right in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. Nestled among the city's vibrant shops, restaurants, and historic architecture, it offers a prime location for events and gatherings. Just steps away from Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa and the lively Higuera Street, the venue provides easy access to local attractions and ample parking options nearby. Its central location makes it a convenient and stylish choice for any occasion.

What is the capacity of your venue?

Our event venue is fire marshalled for 275 guests, but we recommend hosting events with 25 to 150 guests for optimal comfort, with a seated dinner capacity of approximately 70 guests.

What is Included? Are there hidden fees?

All of our event packages at The Region Event Center include onsite staff, setup and breakdown of venue-owned items, in-house tables and chairs (quantity varies by package), a custom-built 40' black granite bar, and security services. Guests will also enjoy the ambiance of abundant indoor plants and full access to the entire property, including indoor and outdoor spaces, a catering area, and a stylish showroom/lounge. Additionally, all packages come with plateware, utensils, serving plates, glassware, and more for a seamless event experience.

Can I come early and decorate?

That can be arranged with Event Center Manager! Although we do not allow for day before drop offs.

How does parking work downtown?

There is no on property parking but there is easy access to both palm street parking structures.

Do we have to purchase Wine?

The number of guests at your event will determine the required amount of wine. If you choose to not purchase alcohol, there will be an alcohol opt out fee.

Can I bring in outside alcohol?

Due to our licensing we are only permitted to serve the alcohol on our provided beverage list.

Do you allow outside vendors for food etc.?

We do! We just ask that the vendor meet our events manager and tour our space.

Can we have slideshows, video presentations, or play music from a personal device?

We have audio and visual equipment which you are granted access to. While we can not have you play music from your personal device, you are welcome to share a spotify playlist with our events manager to play during your event. Otherwise we will have a pre-curated playlist that can be played.

May I bring my own food?

You are more than welcome to! We just ask that any serving platters, utensils and other dishes be brought home with you at the end of your event.
